Hello and thank you for taking the time to learn more about
me. My name is Shelagh O’Leary-Ongaro. I am a Real Estate Sales Representative
with Century 21 Heritage Group Ltd., (Newmarket).
I have lived in Newmarket since 1992. Along with my husband,
we have raised our son here in this wonderful town. We absolutely love living
here in Newmarket. There are many wonderful restaurants, coffee shops,
activities, beautiful parks and walking trails and so many interesting little
shops and boutiques to explore. The people here have always been so friendly
and helpful to each other.
My work experience has been in a variety of industries; banking,
publishing, manufacturing and education. All these experiences have allowed me
to hone my analytical, organizational, negotiating and people skills.
I have volunteered at my son’s elementary school in so many
ways, whenever I was needed to help, assisting teachers in their classrooms,
going on class trips as a parent chaperone, helping with the hot lunch and milk
programs, answering phones in the office, improving the school gardens, etc. I am most proud of the time I spent helping
some of the primary grade students work on and improve their reading
skills. I also spent 4 years on the
Parent Council for the school as well as the Council Secretary and was heavily
involved in fundraising for the school.
